How does a startup brand cause so much interest at Outdoor Retailer? By having perfect product, perfect branding and perfect style. "The Goat" was quickly purchased by prAna and we produced a couple of workbooks, did our magic on their product photography, had fun developing POP and created precise little books for Nordstrom. The new management at prAna sold Scapegoat in late 2008 for a few bucks for lack of vision in what it could become -- sort of like drinking a perfect red wine too early.

How to get into a megaplex your first year? Take a lesson from the master: Serve the Customer. Scapegoat did just that and their products were available in Nordies.

(insert photogs name) delivered images that told a very layered story. We book-ended his creative with a enviable product photography by Mike Hill. Our job? Create dimensional clothing images, design a contemporary layout and put the project to bed, early. Good night.

What started as a technique to blend photos and illustration ended up being a method to "build" dimensional clothing models on the computer. We rarely "claim" but we were the first studio to do this, back in 1999, and it's now a standard way to show product. Just sayin'.

[project title:] Hangtags

Hangtags may be the most important tool in our bag. They play a vital role at the crucial time in a product's life cycle. On-product collateral is always the last chance and sometimes the only chance we get to speak directly to our customers.
