[project title:] Zoot Dealer Book

Zoot’s desire to bare its soul was just as urgent as their sales goals. It’s a mix of brand and promotion that Sandbox blends perfectly. The strategy, then? As shepherds of their brand, we knew sales would come from allowing the company to communicate with retailers, openly and directly, showing superior product design and relations with world champion professional athletes. By relating to each storefront individually, Zoot has increased it’s dominance as the world’s leading triathlon brand.

[project title:] Zoot Web

How to build a website with a deeply rooted infrastructure, without an Amazon® budget? Share the load. Sandbox helped finance Zoot’s e-commerce system for a slice of profit. The system equaled the previous year’s sales within four months of turning the motor on. Innovative and 3D animated homepage, product detail videos replace the traditional bullet point lists—REI and Trisports.com liked them so much they asked if they could post them too.

[project title:] Zoot CRx

CompressRx is a company within a company. How to tell the story of medically-developed compression gear for sport as opposed to overly tight sports gear? First, the name had to ring true, COMPRESSRx was coined by Sandbox and the rest of the program rolled forward. We concepted and designed every component of this business with regards to position, language, graphics, packaging, display, video, website and more. [project title:] Zoot Ads

An important part of Zoot’s message is product and athlete superiority. Ironically, with that dominance comes a quiet confidence. The brand isn’t boastful—it is hard-working, technically advanced, lab-proven and worn by World Champions. The copy draws connections between product and athlete—both in top form and taking on all challengers. Simple concepts, strong imagery by John Segesta and precise, on-brand writing come together for powerful, smart ads that speak to triathletes of all levels.

[project title:] Zoot Uniform Design

Zoot is the premiere triathlon company in the world. With that, Zoot's athletes are world champions. They need to look great on the race course so we had the idea to create "themed" suits for each major race. Whether pulling ideas from the athlete's home country, personal likes or desire to "look like Wonder Woman" as Sam McGlone asked, we enjoyed the process and love the results.

[project title:] Zoot Product Photos

John Segesta is a great photographer. As such, each season we team up to provide Zoot with unique ways to photograph their clothing.

[project title:] Zoot Footwear Development

Brian Enge came to us one day to create a document that would help his partners invest in footwear. A few months later, we were penning concepts for Triathlon Race Shoes as well as designing outsoles and determining colors for a $150 pair of racing flats. Calling in a favor from long time friend Harald Belker, he showed what the future of a race shoe could be.

[project title:] Zoot Hangtag

Hangtags may be the most important tool in our bag. They play a vital role at the crucial time in a product's life cycle. On-product collateral is always the last chance and sometimes the only chance we get to speak directly to our customers.

[project title:] Zoot DTC

Sandbox has Zoot’s back–as in driving DTC sales and building a Dealer Ordering System that allows stores, reps and in-house staff to effectively manage all aspects of the sale. No more faxes. No more hand-keying in entries. The DTC campaign is delivered to Zoot’s loyal following in scheduled intervals. Sales go up. Racers get the gear they desire with bonuses like free shipping or free product. Win. Win.
