In the world of print, the consumer catalog speaks to a captive audience. A well executed publication will inform, stimulate, engage and make the viewer appreciative of the effort. Our catalogs have lasted well beyond their seasons, some turning into coffee table books for like-minded consumers. Funny that something ephemeral becoming something cherished.

[project title:] Prana Moving Meditation

With roots growing deep in climbing and yoga, the prAna brand must speak to two core audiences (as well as one parent, Liz Claiborne). We cross-pollinated those audiences by celebrating movement—the essence of both activities. Designed on two axes, “Moving Meditation” asks the reader to engage physically by spinning the book in order to view certain features. This major print piece for prAna contains the assets that powered two websites and countless collateral. Graphis gave “Moving Meditation” two nods, including it as a final selection for two of their international publications.

[project title:] eBike Brochure

How to tell the story of life with an electric bicycle? No models. Real people. Real situations. Real copy. Working with Rick Bolton, we took the pragmatic road instead of perpetuating the cliche. The result was a usable book that allowed a glimpse into life with an E-Bike.

[project title:] Eagle Creek Brochure

What makes for a brochure or a product workbook? Adding in some much needed style and heartbeat to EC's mix allowed us to tell the Inspired by Travel story.

[project title:] Rusty Black Catalog

Tired of the overly designed shout fest going on in the surf industry (has it ever been different?), Rusty showed up at our office and showed me some high end car and golf catalogs and asked if I could help him tell his story in a simple, clean, almost crisp way. Sure thing. Getting Rusty to be concise when it comes to surfboard design and hydordynamics is like asking ..... you get it. After many interviews and having Mike Hill shoot some honest polaroid transfer portraits, we delivered. I've heard on more than one occasion this is Rusty's favorite catalog, ever. Click here to see the love returned, check the date of my board being shaped.

[project title:] Prana Yoga Catalog 2006

A visual wonderland of Pattahbi Jois' 90th Birthday shot by long-time friend Mike Hill as well as inside the indoor and outdoor worlds of John Friend as shot by photo-traveler-all-around-hero Jamie Brisick. GRAPHIS gave this their nod as a finalist in their yearly competition.

[project title:] Prana Climb Catalog 2006

This book pairs itself with the Yoga offering as it highlights key prAna clothing styles, key athletes and a pared-down approach when compared to years' past. Only the essence was our theme.

[project title:] Prana Climb Brand Book 2005

How do you tell a story without words? With pictures of course, page after page of prAna's seamless climbing images that cumulates into one of our most powerful print works to date.
